What is the D.K. Kim Cambodia Foundation Scholarship Program?
ANSWER: The D.K. Kim Cambodia Foundation Scholarship Program is a financial aid program funded by D.K. Kim Foundation, which is based out of the United States. The Scholarship Program provides financial assistance for Cambodian students to help them pursue their dreams through higher education. Currently, the D.K. Kim Cambodia Foundation Scholarship Program is only for those who need assistance for undergraduate university tuition.
Who can apply for the Scholarship Program and how are the recipients determined?
ANSWER: Any Cambodian citizen who is admitted to University can apply for the Scholarship Program.
How do I apply for the Scholarship Program?
ANSWER: To apply for the Scholarship Program, students must first file the Free Application for Student Aid (FASA) (Form FA-100) before the deadline. Any other supplemental documents are required only upon request by the Scholarship and Financial Aid Office. You can download the FASA form from this website or call the office for a copy of Form FA-100.
How are the Scholarship recipients determined?
ANSWER: Applicants must have a need for financial assistance, show willingness to work hard for his/her future, as well as demonstrate good character. Please see Eligibility Requirements or contact the D.K. Kim Cambodia Foundation Scholarship and Financial Aid Office for more information.
How is my application processed and will I be notified if I do not receive an award?
ANSWER: All applications submitted are reviewed by the Scholarship and Financial Aid Office staff, based on the Foundation’s methodology. Once an applicant passes the initial screening process, the office will then conduct interviews before a decision is made by the chief of the Scholarship Program. The results of the scholarship application will be returned to the applicant within a period of 15 workdays after application deadline. In case that the scholarship applicant is rejected, the applicant will receive a clear explanation on the reasons for said rejection.
How is the amount of the award is determined?
ANSWER: The amount of the scholarship you receive shall be equal to the tuition amount of the University that you attend. Please note that the scholarship is up to $600 per year for tuition only. Thus, award amount shall be equal or less than $600 per year. For questions about your special individual situation, please contact the D.K. If I receive a scholarship, am I guaranteed to receive one in following years?
ANSWER: No, you must re-apply each year. Keep in mind that our application pool changes year to year as does the amount of funds available.
Are students attending a trade school or graduate school eligible to apply?
ANSWER: Unfortunately, the scholarship for 2011 is only for undergraduate studies only. However, we are working hard to expand our scholarship beyond undergraduate in the near future. Please check back with us for any updates.

Can I re-apply for the Scholarship Program?
ANSWER: Yes. You may re-apply for a scholarship each year throughout your undergraduate studies.

Is there a limit on the number or amount of scholarship you will award to one family?
ANSWER: No. There is no maximum for the amount of family members who can receive a scholarship or the amount awarded to any particular family.
